In a bizarre crossover event that defies traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Revealed

According to the authorized release, "A mysterious confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of banned ceremonies and terrifying transformations reverberate through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine group.

The mission focuses on "bizarre trials and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Transformations

The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the mission will acquire an exclusive katana together with several objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
