Based on latest data, the count of individuals reaching 100 in the UK has grown by 100% from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
Between 2004 and 2024, the number of male individuals reaching 100 has tripled from 910 to 3,100. During the same years, the number of women aged 100 or over increased by nearly 100% from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are keen to listen to individuals who have reached 100, their loved ones or close ones, about what it has been like to experience the past century’s seismic events and developments.
